In 1841, Benjamin (17) was an Oil Sheet Maker living with his parents John (also an oil sheet maker) and Mary and 6 bother siblings at Crook Street, Bolton.

In 1848, Benjamin, when living at 12 Canal Street, Manchester, married Patients Oldham. 1829 - 1902 Patience (Patricia) Oldham 73 73 Patrence or Patricia for all childrens baptism records.

Appears to be an Orphan or Adopted in 1841 census.  She is the only Patience found in Sowe, Warwickshire.

In 1851, her birthplace is recorded as Sow, Warwickshire.

Patience was living with her daughter Edith and grandson Silas  in 1901.
 1850 - 1917 Martha Buckley 66 66 In 1871, Martha was 10, the oldest daughter of Benjamin and Patients.

William and Martha lived in Hollingwood, Oldham.  Martha was living at Marshside, Southport in 1911. Her daughter Beatrice was with her.  Had she separated from her husband?  Well she is still recorded as married.

Her husband was a Baptist Pastor, which is consistent with this baptist family.  1853 - 1914 Mary Buckley 61 61 In 1873, Mary Buckley married John Barstow at Ashton-under-Lyne.

In 1882, Mary's younger sister Edith married Joseph Basstow. 1855 - 1936 Emma Buckley 80 80 In 1861, aged 5 living at Audenshaw.

Emma Buckley married Henry Dales and iron molder who worked at Ashton National, and Scott & Hodsons. They lived in Audenshaw.

Following their 1878 marriage, there don't appear to be any births registered in Cheshire until Agnes 1885 in Crew and then later in Tranmere, Birkenhead (same family tbc).

In 1901, Henry and Emma (50 & 45) were at 12 Stamford Road, Audenshaw (with no children).  Thay had no children.

In 1911, Henry and Emma (60 & 55) were still at 12 Stamford Road, Hooley Hill.  Thay had been married 33 yrs, and no children.

In 1880, Henry married Ann Hallsworth at St Matthew, Stockport.  (Note: There is another Henry son of Benjamin a weaver who married Marian Hill in 1885).

In 1881, Henry is a Machine Tool Maker, aged 23, born Hooley Hill.  Married to Ann (22)

In 1891, Henry (33) is a Sewing Machine Foreman married to Ann (32).  They have 5 children.

In 1901, Henry is Foreman/Fiter at the Sewin g Machine Works, Audenshaw.  He and Ann (43 & 42) have all their 7 children

In 1911, Henry and Ann have been married 30 years.  They have had 8 children and 2 have died.  They live in a big 7 room house at 58 Denton Road, Hooley Hill (so close to where he was born). He is still foreman.

In 1921, Henry, Ann, Helen and Ernest were still living in Audenshaw, Ashton-under-Lyne, Lancashire, England 1860 - 1948 Ellen Buckley 88 88 Ellen and William went off to live in the USA in 1887.  In 1930 they were at Bloomfield, Essex, NJ with daughter Edith (aged 34) 1862 - 1934 Edith Buckley 71 71 Owned a drapers shop on Guide Lane

1865 - 1941 Beatrice (Beattie) Buckley 75 75 Beatrice (Beattie) Buckley ran Buckley & Co. Photographers at 134 Guide Lane Hooley Hill (previously owned by her mother Patience who use to often visit America).  She married Willoughby Hamson who was a photographer.  She had a daughter name Patience Hamson who married Archibald Hastie. 1868 - 1946 Silas Buckley 78 78 Salias was Jeff Buckley's Grandfather, source of some of this Buckley family history.  Jeff''s father was Fred.

Silas worked in a shipping office in Manchester, then sewing machine mechanic at Jones’s, Guide Bridge, Audenshaw.

In 1921 Silia and Hannah were at Audenshaw with Mary, Annie and Frank.

He was Secretary to the Chairman of New York National Bank and lived in New Jersey, USA.  He died in NJ in 1938 (aged 77).

1886, the family imigrated to Essex, NJ, USA.  Ernest was the only son born in the UK (in 1885). 

William Henry Schofield Sr's parents are buried in Woodlawn Cemetery in New York, New York.

William and Martha lived in Hollingwood, Oldham. 

In 1891, William and Martha ((38 & 40) were at Chapel Walks, Cheadle with William B, Ann, John B, Beatrice and William's sister Sarah Nield (49, Single).

By 1911, William had 8 children, 7 still alive.

In 1891, Henry and Emma (40 & 35) were at 2 East Street, Audenshaw.

In 1901, Henry and Emma (50 & 45) were at 12 Stamford ROad, Audenshaw (with no children).

In 1911, Henry and Emma (60 & 55) were at 12 Stamford Road, Hooley Hill.  Thay had been married 33 yrs, and no children.

John married Ida Phillips in Winnipeg, Canada 1890 Beatrice Nield Beattie married an American.  They had two children.
  1880 Arthur Buckley Nield 1885 - 1970 Emma Dales Nield 85 85 In 1911, Emma married Arthur Stott.  They had a child Pattie and sons Herbert and Arthur. 1892 - 1960 Silas Barstow 68 68 Silas's father died around the time he was norn.

In 1921, Silas was not on the UK census.

In 1959, Gerald W W and Beatrice Joan Halnan departed Southampton for India.  Dates of birth are recorded.  At the time they were living at 110 Overcliffe Drive, Shoutbourne, Hants.  They were also intending to be living in India. 1923 - 2007 Beatrice Joan Buckley 83 83 Beatrice Joan was known as Joan.

In 1948, Joan flew from LanIcashire to marry Gerry at Calcutta.  Gerry was at that time an assistant with Andrew Yules', on Choonabutti Tea Estate in the Dooars.

In 1939, Ernest (b.20 Oct 92) is a Munitions & Gas & Oil Engine Fitter. She was born in New York and lived for many years with her husband in New Jersey. They moved to Marinwood in 1969 to live with their daughter, Beverly Williams. 24 Feb 1856, John Buckley, son of Abner Buckley married Jane Field, daughter of Betty Field.  Both were spinners living at Bottom of the Moor (Bottom 'oth Moor).  Although named Jane "Field", the mother's maiden name is recorded as Peel for all their childrens births.

In 1861, John, a self-acting Spinning (Cotton) Mule Winder and Jane (23 & 27) were at Spencer Street, Oldham above Town with 3 children and Sarah Buckley (71, Widow), his  mother.
