George Whitehead

George was born on August 29th, 1912 in Oldham.¹

George's father was Frank Whitehead and his mother was Hannah Shaw.  His paternal grandparents were George Eli Whitehead and Sarah Dyson; his maternal grandparents were Henry Shaw and Sarah Wood. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Shaw, Harry, Mary and Dorothy.  He was the second oldest of the five known children.  He died at the age of 82 in 1994 in Warwickshire.¹ 

‌George and Hilda were married in a religious ceremony in April 1940 in Huddersfield.  They had a son and two daughters, named Ralph, Carol and Pauline.  There are possibly more children.
