Joseph was born in October 1788 in Delph and his baptism took place on November 2nd, 1788 in Friarmere.1  Joseph's father was Henry Buckley and his mother was Betty Shaw.  His paternal grandparents were Edmund Buckley and Mary Lawton. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, James, Henry, Ben, Mary, Alice, Ann and Priscilla.  He was the oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 72 on April 2nd, 1861 in Connecticut (CT).  He was buried on April 8th, 1861 in Connecticut (CT).2 





Joseph's family with Julia Chapman

‌Joseph and Julia were married in a religious ceremony on February 17th, 1810 in Connecticut (CT).2   They had three sons named Benjamin, Seymour and Miles.  The family line is yet to be completed.
