Joseph Buckley

Joseph was born in 1765 in Oldham and his christening took place there on March 3rd, 1765.¹

Joseph's father was Benjamin Buckley and his mother was Sarah Ogden.  His paternal grandparents were James Buckley Jnr and Sarah Cooper. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Josiah, Benjamin, John, Mary, Anne and Ann.  He was the second oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, Abraham, Sarah and Betty.

‌Joseph and Margaret were married in a religious ceremony on January 14th, 1787 at St. Marys (Oldham) by Thomas Fawcett and witnessed by William Butterworth (& Ralph Jackson).³   The family line is yet to be completed.
