Josiah Buckley

Josiah was born in 1768 in Oldham and his christening took place there on April 5th, 1768.¹

Josiah's father was Benjamin Buckley and his mother was Sarah Ogden.  His paternal grandparents were James Buckley Jnr and Sarah Cooper. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, John, Mary, Anne and Ann.  He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named James, Abraham, Sarah and Betty.  He died at the age of 23 in July 1791 in Oldham.  He was buried on July 25th, 1791 at St. Marys (Oldham).²
