Born 1748, Abraham of Coldhurst High Barn. The family soon moved to Shelderslow. There are several possible Abtaham Buckley families, all at Shaw (i.e. none at Saddleworth St Chad).
In 1777, Abraham Buckley, weaver, and Jane Hilton had an illegitimate daughter Mary. Both of Whitefields, baptised at Shaw. Then Abraham, weaver, and Martha Holt (married 18 Aug 1783) of Whitefield had Betty (1784), Ann (1785). Then of Thinngor (or Hunger) Hill; James (1787), John (1790), Abraham (1792), William (1795), and George (1797) of Shaw
There is an Abraham Buckley and Ann (Moors?) family of Shawside. This Abraham was a coal miner. They had Jacob (1783), Sally (1785), James (1787), John (1789), and Abraham (1796). After 1783 he was a Weaver of Shaw.
Abraham Buckley of Hogs, yeoman and Mary had John (1786) and Ann (1790)
The most likely marriage is probably Sarah Wilde. They married at Oldham 14 Aug 1775, and both of Shaw Lane. They had Sarah (1786) of Meadow Head, then Betty (1778), Ann (1781) of Shaw
