Miles was born on January 17th, 1830 in Connecticut (CT).¹ Miles' father was Joseph Buckley and his mother was Julia Chapman. His paternal grandparents were Henry Buckley and Betty Shaw. He had two brothers named Benjamin and Seymour. He was the youngest of the three known children. He died at the age of 22 on April 21st, 1852 in Connecticut (CT).¹
