Ann was born in 1834 in Saddleworth and her baptism took place there on December 20th, 1834.1  Ann's father was Robert Whitehead and her mother was Betty Wade. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Squire, John, Robert, Sarah and Minerva.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 4 in 1838 in Saddleworth.2
