David was born in June 1862 in Saddleworth.1  David's father was Thomas Henry Aked and his mother was Margaret Buckley.  His maternal grandparents were John Buckley and Alice Rhodes. He had four sisters named Ann, Annie, Esther and Alice.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died in June 1862 in Saddleworth.1
