Ann was born in September 1859 in Saddleworth.1  Ann's father was Thomas Henry Aked and her mother was Margaret Buckley.  Her maternal grandparents were John Buckley and Alice Rhodes. She had a brother and three sisters, named David, Annie, Esther and Alice.  She was the oldest of the five children.  She died in September 1859 in Saddleworth.1
