Margaret was born on September 1st, 1838 in Saddleworth and her baptism took place there on November 4th, 1838.1 2  Margaret's father was John Buckley and her mother was Alice Rhodes.  Her paternal grandparents were John Buckley and Mary Rhodes. She had three brothers and six sisters, named James, Frederick, William, Mary, Betty, Hannah, Elizabeth, Sarah and Esther.



Margaret's family with Thomas Henry Aked

‌Margaret and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on February 3rd, 1859 in Saddleworth.3   They had a son and four daughters, named David, Ann, Annie, Esther and Alice.  There are no more children.
