Sally's father was John Buckley and her mother was Hannah Lees.  Her paternal grandparents were James Buckley Snr and Elisabeth (Betty) Cresswell. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Mary and Betty.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named John and Ann.
