James Schofield

James was born in 1819 in Saddleworth and his baptism took place there on April 4th, 1819.¹

James' father was Noah Schofield and his mother was Mary Lees. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Charles, Wright, Joseph, Ann, Julia, Mary, Harriet and Eliza. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 57 on March 11th, 1876 in Saddleworth.²

- James Schofield late of Standedge Rough in the township of Saddleworth Yorkshire, farmer. Will proved by Sarah Schofield of Standedge Rough, widow the relict (during widowhood) and Joseph Rhodes of Deanhead, woollen man. 2 of the execs. Effects under £300

- James' occupation was Farmer full time in agriculture in Saddleworth. He died in 1876 while still employed there.
