Edward Carter

Edward was born in 1858 in Saddleworth.¹ Edward's father was George Carter and his mother was Mary Buckley. His paternal grandparents were William Carter and Betty Stancliffe; his maternal grandparents were John Buckley and Alice Rhodes. He had five brothers and a sister, named William, John, Frederick, George, Daniel and Mary. He was the fifth oldest of the seven children.
