Abraham Moore

Abraham was born on December 30th, 1857 in Almondbury and his baptism took place on October 24th, 1858 in Pontefract.¹   Abraham's father was James Moore and his mother was Elizabeth (Eliza) Cheesbrough.  His paternal grandparents were Abraham Moore and Frances (Fanny); his maternal grandparents were Joseph Cheesbrough and Martha Mountain. He had two sisters named Martha and Fanny.  He was the second oldest of the three known children.  He died at the age of 78 on August 18th, 1936 in Oldham.  He was buried.²

‌Abraham and Jane were married in a religious ceremony on April 9th, 1890 in Saddleworth.³   They had a son and three daughters, named Harold, Eveline, Hilda and Gladys.  There are no more children.  Eveline and Hilda were twins.
