one of his forebarers is said to be Ga. first millionaire. I remember him
as a large gentleman with a handlebar mustache who when i was was very
quite.  He was married to his 2nd wife during the time that i can
remember. Her name was Sallie Robertson or Robinson.  She had an
illegetiment daughter prior to their marriage.  Her reputation in a small
southern town was of course wasted.  She was many yrs younger than
William and i remember her as being a very harsh and outspoken person.

Jack Jason /Dudley/ Edie Dudley Edie /Dudley/ 1936 Billy My father is a private almost reclusive man. He is very sensitive. I remember when I told him that I was going to ask Nicole to marry me, he cried. There must be a genetic link to this as his father was the same, and I am too. He loves to read and  learn. Just last year he studied for and became board certified in pain managment. When the family gets together he is the first to leave and head off for his room. As he gets older he seems to enjoy his family more. He will stay and with us longer. He is always working and provides well for his family.

As a rural family doctor and surgeon he has a very large practice. He has patients that drive from as far away as North Carolina to see him. He is up every day at 5:30-6:00 to head off to the hospital. For most of his career he kept as many patients in Cobb Memorial Hospital as all of the other doctors combined.

disappear for long periods of time.  He would always return to Aunt
Callie between these  trips and she always took him back .  He had been
missing for two years just before his death when one day Callie returned
home and found him with a significant stroke lying on her porch.  She
carried him in and cared for him ' til his death two yrs. later.  Yancey
is reported to have sev. in the army or marines during WW1.  Once on
guard duty the officer of the day approached Yancey and was not
challenged to halt.  He chewed Yancey out and said when one approached
him Yancey should sing out Halt who goes there.  On the next rounds as
the officer approached Yancey hollered out " Tanka Lanka Tanka Lanka Halt
who goes there".  By history it was not funny to the officer.  At family
gathering he was always the center of attention because of his humor and
his continous flow of stories , true or untrue no one cared.  He was the
original entertainer.  He was also a tall and handsom man and always well
groomed.  In contrast his wife was very sweet and very reserved and
somewhat homely.

Ford, Sr. Grover's Grandson) Grover Ford was a farmer in the Goldmine Community of Hart Co. and raised a family of seven children.  He was a very high tempered man and was prone to episodes of "ranting and cussing ".  He had little patience for sorriness and could not tolerate a lazy mule..  He had a strong affinity for the cards and would play Rook with several men from the community till daylight.  He also loved to hunt and to shoot Pool.   He also fished a good deal and always had a gun and rod and reel with his pool cue in his car for instant action.  His greatest peculiarity was that if anything happened he always passed the blame to someone else.  On one occasion he left the house to drive to Royston and drove off into a ditch .  He walked home and  said "Lois look what you made me do"   . She answered" what could I've made you do Grover I have been here at the house."      He replied "If you had not fussed at me before I left the House I would not have run into the ditch".  She always accepted the blame and would continue with her cooking and humming.            On many occasions I would see him in Royston and would always say hello grandpa. I don't believe that he ever recognized me any time we were not at his home.  His favorite grandchild was always Eddie and I guess rightly so . Eddie was born with a cleft lip and pallet and was seriously ill a lot as a child. 1820 - 1899 Grove Harrison Cartledge 79 79 Groves Harrison Cartledge Ordained 9-23-1849  Pastor of Hebron and Homer Presbyterian church for over 47 yrs.

1690, while other sources claim that is country of origin was Germany.
The name Rucker does seem to be of German or Dutch origins. Peter immigrated
before his father did, coming to America aboard a ship called The Rising Son (a
French ship taken by the British during the war was one of four ships sailing from
Gravesend, England with 700 passengers for America) that wrecked off the Virginia coasts outside of Jamestown near the mouth of the James River, Peter and a few others were able to swim to shore, and was naturalized along wirth a number of Frenchmen on April 24, 1704.

One source lists his fathers name as John while another lists it as
Ambrose.

Peter Rucker, wife of Elizabeth Fielding, of German birth, was issued naturalization papers April 24, 1704, House of Burgess records of Virginia.

Peter & Elizabeth both were members of St. Marks Parish which was est.
1730 in Spotsylvania County and eventually included Orange and Culpeper County.
Orange County, Virginia was formed from Spotsylvania County in 1734.

The first Coat of Arms of the Rucker name was used by Johan Von Rucker, of
Vienna, a crusader A.D. 1096. In the records, he is called "Sir Knight Crusader."
The name then branches off to Livonia, Bavaria, Holland, France, England, and
America. From the beginning of the 17th century, the Ruckers were famous for
making exquisite hapsichords, decorated by such artists as Rubens. The first
Rucker was said by tradition to have swam the ocean with a bag of gold.
We do know they were fabulously wealthy.

Peter was named as an executor in Timothy Crosthwait's will (dated 15 June 1756,
and appears on page 229 of Orange County Will Book 2.)

His will is dated 1-18-1743 (Will Book Ledger, p. 299). The estate was settled in
1752 (Deed book 1, p.400, 2-21-1752, Culpepper Co., VA). A copy of his will found
in The Rucker Family Genealogy by Sudie Rucker Wood. He married Elizabeth Fielding in Germany, she died in 1752.

Grandmother Morris was the only family member to remain in Georgia.  Her reason for staying was her family .   WWsr. was by history a ferry attendent for some time and worked on the Arkansas river.  It was there were he first met Jim Bowie and started to move about. This was several years prior to his death at the Alamo. On September 19 in 1827Jim Bowie was acting as second in a duel between Wells and Maddox.  THIS DUEL WAS FOUGHT ON A SANDBAR IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER BETWEEN NATCHEZ MISS. AND VIDALIA, LOUISANA and is documented in the local press. There is a fairly larg library in Vidalia.  WWsr was an apparent friend of Dr. John Sutherland who loaned him money to purchase a Yeager rifle.  Sutherland did not die at the Alamo.  He was a courier at the time and was out of the fort when the attack began. Wells arrived at the Alamo apparently in the company of Captain Patton. 1818 William Francis Wells Eight children were born to William and Amy . Only seven names are avail.

Cox 1891 - 1957 Johnny Luther Dudley 65 65 Luther Dudley was the son of a baptist minister and was somewhat
typical.     He worked at several occupations including carpenter, game
warden , farmer,
and gambler.  He was a heavy drinker and smoker(primarily hand rolled
Prince Albert) and probably died prematurily as a result of those
habits.  His  death was due to Pancreatic Cancer and his last year of
life was horrible he existed on morphine shots and lost from 185# down to
around 50#.  A drinking buddy of his related to me on his death bed that
Luther had murderd a man at the Smith McGee bridge in Hart Co.  Mr Jude
Isom who related the story to me state that the gentleman was killed with
a small hatchet and that Luther always carried one especially when he was
drinking and gambling.  According to Isom they were that night returning
form a night of same plus drinking .  He stated that he did not see the
fatal blow but that he heard a thud and a splash when the body hit the
water. Mr Isom denied all  personal involvement and gave full credit to
Dudley as the perfomer of the murder most foul as it was reported in the
local paper.  Dudley did have a foul temper when he had a hangover .  I
can personally attest to that(WCF_ grandson).  Dudley was an avid reader
of the Holy Bible and never washed his hair.  He would always brush his
hair for 100 strokes and
I never saw him with his hair dirty.  On sunday he would read the bible
for hours and simutaneously brush his hair while smoking.  My brother and
I lived with our grandparents while our father was in service (WW11) and
our mother  worked in a sewing plant in Hartwell.  Our greatgrand father
Marion Allen also lived in the house during and after that time until his
death.  Dudleys children give various accounts of his meaness and/or
generosity.
His mother left the family and moved away from my greatgrand father
because of jealousy.  He was a Baptist minister and " women were
attracted to him" .  Willie Pulliam from Elberton who knew the family
said there was some cause for her jealousy!  She moved in with he son
Yancey Valentine Dudley who appeared to be her favorite.  Willie is the
niece of Yancey by marriage and knows a good deal about the situation.
Of all the peoble that I saw my grandfather interact with he seemed to
dislike my uncle Haley Allen the most.  Haley was a little slow (family
hx. says this was due to being struck by lightning )  but I suspect there
was little wrong with Haley except terminal lazyiness.  We had a battery
powered radio and each night Haley would show up to listen.  He clunked
on the bridge just outside the yard and we were always forewarned of his
eminent arrival.  Once there he would knock at the door and ask " is he
on" and my grandfather would always ask "who Hale" , Haley would always
answer "Mr. District Attorney" . Neither would talk until the show was
over and Haley without Comment would get up and clobber on home to Lois.
Luther would always
grunt "Damn" as uncle left.    When I was ab

out 8 yrs. old my grandfather was away from home under the influence of
"demon rum" and it was time to plow the garden . As a result the job fell
on me . with neophyte hands I Caught the mule and placed the collar and
stymes on he and hooked the trace to the sled , loaded the plow, and
yelled in an authoritative voice" get up" .  My only problem was that I
did not fasten the lines to the bit .  The mule lurched forward and the
trace hit him on the leg and frightned him .  He immediately ran and the
more he ran the harder the trace hit him .  Parts of the plow were found
between our home and Elbert Co. where the mule finally freed himself of
all encumbering equipment and stopped to rest.  He was eventually
recovered by a very unhappy grandpa.  Fortunately he saw humor in the
situiation and I was not clobbered. Grandpa always looked for reasons to
leave the field and on one hot day Kenneth and I were in the field with
him.  Kenneth got a grain of sand in his pants and screamed" I've been
spider bit".  Luther immediately unhitched the mule and throwing Kenneth
on his back we hauled ass to the house never to return to the field that
day.  Once home Kenneth didn't die and we all watched him as he made a
full recovery in about five minutes.  Both Kenneth and I after that were
frequently bit by various spiders and snakes and rushed home for a full
day of observation.
For some reason the doctor was never called.

Couch Sarah Allen Sarah /Allen/ William Kelly William /Kelly/ Polly Allen Polly /Allen/ Blair 1897 - 1985 Cora Amelia Allen 88 88 Cora Dudley was an extremely active women in the Clubs of the community
including the Home Demonstration club and all church related clubs.  She
however never learned to cook in her entire life and most food presented
to the table was edible but barely.  She would always make a concoction
known as raisin pie which consisted of clabbered carnation milk and
raisins with an amount of sugar added .  This was a horrible dish.  She
was a great believer in the Sears catalog and she often ordered wall
paper from them . The house did not  have walls within the frame
structure so we would first cover the studs with corrugated box sections
then we wall papered that.  Our grandest posession when I lived with them
was a kerosene stove on wich she could burn the food.  She was a totally
non violent person and would never spank us and would rarely if ever
scold us.  She however was totally opposed to my  grandfathers drinking
and would search high and low for his bottle hiding place.  Most always
it was in and under the plants in the front yard or in the trunk or under
the seat of his 36 Ford coupe.  Judd Isom was always of the opinion that
Cora poisioned  Luther to keep him from drinking and that she ultimately
caused his death by cancer.  Again Judd was just trying to be helpful in
clarifing a family situation for me.  Cora did not learn to drive until
she was in her late sixties.  Her son Steve bought for her several cars
over the years with more and more powerful Motors .  On a trip to the
hospital one day a green flash passed me and it was Granny doing about 80
mi. per hr. I latter found out from the distraught passenger in the car
that a truck driver had pissed her off and she had "left him in the
dust".  Troyce Griffin the passenger vowed to never ride with her again.
To avoid rape and other crimes against womanhood Cora always wore a mans
hat to fool the would be attacker.  Recently a daughter who has now
reached 80 was met by me in her car ,the auto was well across the center
line and everyone had to drive aside to miss  her .  My mother was in the
car and I asked her why the were riding over the line.  The explanatioin
was simple "they were driving the speed limit and no one needed to go any
faster".  This proves that Genes are thicker than water.  After the death
of Luther D. ,Cora became a world traveler she went to England to visit
with my uncle Calvin and his wife Joyce and traveled extensively in the
U.S.A. . On one of her quest to Texas she attempted to establish our
family with William Wells who died at the Alamo.  Because of his death
there his family was granted a section of land .  Wells property was
never claimed so to her we became the obvious heirs.  She was not
successful in her claim so I believe I'll try it in my old age.  We could
own downtown San Antonio.  She also visited the west coast in 1957 and
there was some question as to whether she would get back for my wedding.
I have a letter given to me by Troyce and I will make the contents a part
of her story.

                                   July 17, 1957
                                               Dear  Troyce,

Read your letter sure was glad to hear from you.  Glad you
had a nice trip too,and to Ala!  Well if i could be met by any of them on
a main bus  route  was kinda figuring on stopping over a day or 2 there
myself , , Could be Texas again tho,  had written Ruby, and your letter
explains no answer from her  Also can't hear from Blanche had sent a
letter to Sib to hand to Hubert for her.  Guess shes not home.Well! just
wish you could be along with me too. Yes Grace did go to Texas, think it
was fine for them to go along together, I knew she would never start
alone.  She has not written anything about it but the Texas people have
written me such nice news and how much they enjoyed our Ga. people
visiting Glad you saw Bitian Ida and Jessie I Think of them a lots
especially Ida, was she like you expected her to be?  Well Uncle Francis
Dan Ella in Dallas is another unique person tho I loved being with them
all.  Homecoming at Damascus in 4th Sun most certainly would like to be
there They have a wonderful Pastor and family.  I had sent enlargement of
GG, mother and they have it in the study of the church.  Was putting up
uncle  Francis  one soon and I persuaded ELLA to offer them a beautiful
antique frame(once his own) to put it in. dont know if I told you that
the Gfather Wells was at the Arkansas ferry,he and Davy Crockett spent
the night there at the ferry and went along together to join Sam Houston
in the fight for Texas Freedom.  hope sometimes to to go to the Alamo.
My boys say he was the only Georgian on the Bronze plaque in the Alamo.
Massaqud by mexicans.  I think I saw in the oldest Bible (at
Corrines)from her dads belongings Birth dates from 1775 of the
Ancestors.  The Roe (  or Rae :my note wcf) family meritiorus in
letters.  How I would like to have copies of these things,Idon' know why,
but I adore such old relics and records from early Ancestors     Must be
they wanted the younger generations to apreciate their great effort and
sacrifices oh yes the old peoples class is named The Joanna Sister of
Francis and uncle Andrew.  I urged on of the older relatives to tell my
why?    were all but our own grandmother there in Texas one big family.
He said grandmother Amelia already had her home in Ga. and the others
came to Texas to take up the inheritance.  I think we were about to
forget any kin in Texas.  That's the biggest naution here while -_The
West just drifts along with the majority. they'er afraid to hurt the
negro's fellings and do nothing about segregation.  I ran into all this
negro pushing time I got to El paso and it continues in the west, you
know its a vast Country west of the mississippi (spelled missippi in
original letter) and big.  I see more oil refriners and wells than in
Texas people let their wealth come before anything else in sections I've
seen churches are neglected and Sabbath days are used for clean up and
workdays, makes me appreciate our nice churches and priveleges we have in
our worship.  Plenty of missions needed in our own Western U.S.A. its
been plenty hot most of the time Very pleasant in early A.M.  sure
enjoying hearing from you Call Lola tell her Im thinking of her too as I
write.  I know you are glad of Dixon living near as Atlanta Ill go to
Chicago inOct, Steve and Helen expecting a baby there Why my plans back
thru Texas ,probably Ala. too  Oh yes Blanche in  Summer School Sh's a
busy gal Love always Cora      P S probably start homeward by 1st wk in
Aug. and prepare to attend Billy's wedding have made an allover lace
bright dress to wear (if I like it then)

watched and would then be whacked on the dome of my head by my hung over

He was known as "Dr. Ed" by many people.

[Gary Winn Kay, April 1995]

After leaving Royston he studied at Richmond Academy in Augusta Ga.  From
there he went to the Medical College of Ga.  After finishing there he
interned at St. Barnabus Hospital  in New Jersey and took additional work in
Infectious diseases.  He met his wife at that hospital where she was a
nursing student.
He was an excellent tennis player and won the Augusta city singles
championship while at Richmond Academy.

In about 1700 four
ships carrying seven hundred passangers sailed from Gravesend, ENG. for
America. They landed in Jamestown in that same year. From all indications
and records, Thomas and his brother John were among the leaders of the
passengers. A tradition handed down from the generations by descendants
is that the vessel in which John was sailing was wrecked in the Jamestown
Bay off the coast of VA. and that John floated for 3 days on a piece of
driftwood, being picked up by a passing vessel. Thomas was a land owner
of the early territory. Both Thomas and John took patents of land which
they could not do at the time unless they brought over other settlers or
had done something for the commonwealth. At that time no settlers could
take up over 50 acres unless they had earned the priveledge of taking
more. The brothers must have been naturalized in 1702 by Proclamation, as
the Hugenots were authorized at the time. John had 5850 acres of land in
the heart of the county which waas granted by Earl, King of ENG. Thomas
married in America. His will is on record in the office of the Circuit
Clerk of Culpepper Co., VA. from his will he died in 1763

James Rucker Berryman Rucker Margaret ~1733 - ~1808 Thomas Rucker 75 75 1881 - 1957 Fredrick Authur Locke 75 75 The following information came from Beth Ellen Locke Ridgway, given to Gary Winn Kay, her son-in-law, who took notes as she spoke:

Frederick Arthur Locke was born either in Bath, England or Melksham, England. His father died when Fred was 29 years old. Fred's brothers were William (Will) and Walter. His sisters were Ellen; Florence; Agnes; and Louisa. None of the sisters married. According to Mama Beth, they were "beautiful girls, but they waited too long."

The Locke's were Quakers. William came to the U. S. soon after Fred came. Fred worked his way over as a steward on a boat.

Fred and Walter went to Cape Town, South Africa, where Fred worked as a bartender. When General Smut came into the bar, Fred would talk to him and wait on him. Fred was about age 17 at the time. He me Annie McLean in Cape Town, South Africa and married her there. He took Annie back to England, where Frederick McLain Moffatt Locke was born. Annie's father, Beth's grandfather, died in South Africa. He was an engineer for the British Government. He built bridges. Annie lived in various places around the world, including Kuala Lumpar, Indonesia, as a child. She had no formal education. She had governeses. Beth's grandmother, Annie's mother,  settled in Johannesburg, South Africa. Her name was Mary Moffatt, and she had a large goiter. Annie said she never saw her mother lie down to go to bed (apparently due to the goiter).

In England, Annie lived with her mother-in-law, Fannie Winterson Locke, and Fred worked as a steward on a Cunard liner from New York to London, saving money to move to the states. (Note: Papa Locke wrote that he worked for American Lines, so Mama Beth could have been wrong - GWK). He moved from England to Arlington, NJ  around 1912. Their baby was about five years old then. Fred got a job with DuPont. Annie brought the baby, Frederick McLean Moffatt Locke, aka "Mac", over by herself, and she got very seasick on the voyage over.

Beth was born in 1913 at the Lying In Hospital, Manhattan, NY. She and her family went to the Quaker Church in New York every Sunday. Florence (Flippie), her sister, was born in 1916 at Kearny, New Jersey at Hudson Hospital. Annie's bed was put on concrete blocks at the time of Flippie's birth to control bleeding. The bed fell, and she got a prolapse of the uterus, for which she never had surgery.

Fred worked at DuPont until the depression hit. The Arlington, NJ plant closed. DuPont wanted Fred to move to Italy or Massachusetts. He went to Massachusetts and considered moving to Italy, but Annie didn't want to go. (Note: Mama Beth may have been wrong when she said Massachusetts, because the family actually moved to Hartford, Connecticutt - GWK). Fred  bought a filling station in Irvington, NJ, and he and Mac tried to run it.

Mac graduated from Kearny High School and Bucknell University in the arts. He meant to go into the theater in the business part. He participated in school plays, such as "Taming of the Shrew", and he worked at Roxie's Theater in the summer time as an usher. Fred went to work for Fuller Brush Company. (Fuller Brush apparently came after the filling station business failed - GWK). Mac married Anna (Ann) Lieber while in college. He managed the Buckneell football team for four years. He went to work for DuPont after the filling station business failed. He worked in public relations. He and Ann lived with her parents. They had two boys, Frederick Arthur Locke II and Malcolm Stuart Locke. Mac died in 1959, six months after his father had died. Both are buried in the Arlington, NJ cemetery.

Beth graduated from Kearney High School in 1932. She finished her first year of nursing school in February 1933 and went to Presbyterian Hospital, East Orange, NJ in September 1933 in nursing training, where she met her future husband, Dr. Robert Edwin Ridgway from Royston, GA.

Walter Locke had a daughter in South Africa. Will came to the states with a wife 20 years younger than him, and they had two children. Will's wife was named Nellie, and their children were John Henry and William Henry. William Henry died with meningitis at age nine. John Henry Locke lives in Ft. Pierce, FL. He went to Florida with his dad, Will, when Will retired. He married in Ft. Pierce. His wife left him with a baby boy, and he remarried. He and his second wife had triplets that died.

Some of the Locke sisters came to the states, also. Florence first worked for Prudential. She died in 1917 during the flu epidemic, and only Fred attended her funeral. Ellen, known as Nell, and Louisa (Louise?) came to the states when Will came over. They lived with him in East Orange, NJ. All of the girls who came to the states are buried in East Orange, NJ with Will's nine-year old son. Will and Nellie are buried in Ft. Pierce, FL. John Henry (Johnny) still lives in Ft. Pierce, FL. Agnes was the only sister to stay in England. Fred went back to see her and stayed with her only one night.

Beth's mother died in November 1943 at home in West Hartford, CT of a possible heart attack. She is buried in New Jersey. Flippie was in Georgia, and Fred called for her to come home when the mother, Annie, known as "Nan" by Fred, got sick. He called Flippie back about 30 minutes later to tell her Annie had died.

Annie Moffatt was supposed to be named "Ann", but the officials put Annie on her birth certificate. They called her "Nan". She died in West Hartford, CT, where Fred had moved with the Fuller Brush Company. Flippie was still at home then, working for Prudential Insurance Company. (Note - Mama Beth may have been confused when she said Fred called Flippie in Georgia; he must have called her--Beth - GWK).

James, aka Jim, was in South Africa, as was Dick, both brothers of Annie. Beth has no further information on them. Their sister, Jenny, died in South Africa. She married a man named Hewitt, and they had no children.

After Annie died, Beth stayed with Fred for about two weeks. He moved to Georgia shortly thereafter. Flippie came with him. He sold out everything. His son, Mac, stayed behind in New Jersey. Mac died in 1959 and is buried in New Jersey. Annie stayed with Beth for eight months after Beth's daughter, Susan, was born in Georgia.

Frederick Arthur Locke, aka Freddy, is divorced and is retired from the U. S. Marines, where he was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He lives in Colorado now. He graduated from Bucknell University. He has four children.

Malcolm Locke graduated from the University of Georgia. He is a chemist and lives in Union, New Jersey. He has two sons.

and was killed by order of Santa Anna after flag of truce. Possible at

Davy Crockett was Pleading for his life.  All men were then piled onto a

1798 - 1881 Simeon Bluford Rucker 83 83 <1800 Indy Rucker ~1720 - 1810 Benjamin Rucker 90 90 Benjamin and his brother Anthony were the inventors of the James River
Batteau.
The James River Batteau was a tobacco boat used to transport tobacco down
river to Richmond. Each year the event is celebrated in Lynchburg with a
replica sailing down the James River.

Co. Ga.  He was by hx a farmer and was probably somewhat successful since
he was able to raise a considerable number of children.  As of this time
I don't have all the childrern listed but I should soon have a list of
the entire Ford oofsprings from his marriage with Susie Brown.  He liked
alcohol and one of my earilest memories of him is that he would have
Spells.  He would fall slowly to the ground and hollower out " Sukie
Sukie a little toddy"  Grand Ma Susie who was teribble stooped always had
a tablespoon in her long apron pocket with a bottle of Homebrew.  She
would rush forward and drizzle a Spoonful into his mouth .  He would then
get up and hobble around the yard until the next "spell Hit him".  In
their old age they lived around among their children and Grand children.
Both to the best of my recollection were very quite and kind and seemed
to enjoy their children and their offspring.
He lived to be 87yrs. old and Sukie lived to be 92 .  A reward for
always having the whiskey handy.

R-21. Virginia Historical Marker: RUCKER'S CHAPEL
Nearby stood Rucker's Chapel, one of the first Anglican (present-day
Episcopal) churches in Amherst County. Also known as Harris Creek Church
and later as St. Matthew's, the church was founded by Col. Ambrose Rucker
before 1751. It stood on part of a 5,850 acre tract his father, John
Rucker, patented in 1745. The church served its congregation until 1817,
when the members moved to Ascension Church, in Amherst. Logs from the
chapel were later used to construct a corncrib at Sweet Briar College,
two miles north.

some sources claim he was married to Mary Clifton Headley

Researching the pioneer settlers of Osage County has led to the
identification of the following Revolutionary War ancestors. Descendants
of these individuals able to document this relationship and service would
be able to apply for membership in the Daughters or Sons of the American
Revolution:
