Francis Marion Allen 
Francis Marion's father was James Allen and his mother is Margaret Estes. His paternal grandfather was Joseph Allen and his paternal grandmother is Agnes Patterson; his maternal grandfather is Reuben Estes. He had a brother named Reuben E.. He had four half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Thomas J., James Monroe, Henry C., William E., Sarah L.E., M. E., Martha C., Nancy Caroline and Eliza Frances. He died due to C.V. Francis Allen was a small virgous man who walked where ever he went.
Almost every day until his death he walked from crossroads to Hartwell
and back . He spent long periods gossiping with his cronies at the
courthouse .
His favorite past time in my memory was pestering our dog who learned to
climb trees to get away from him .Blacky was the dog and was the proud
posession of Steve Skelton Dudley a Grandson.

had a palsy in his hand and when he tried to drink coffee in the A.M.
he would pour into his saucer an amount to cool . The fun would then
start as he attemped to reach his mouth with the saucer and coordinate
his hand and head movements. He also had to make it through a big handle
bar mustache before he made the mouth. I would always get tickled when I
watched and would then be whacked on the dome of my head by my hung over

Francis Marion and Ellen Amy Marie were married in a religious ceremony on September 15th, 1881 in Hart Co., GA, USA. They had six sons and five daughters, named Morris, Ruben, Haley, Henry Grady, Thomas Watson, John Sibley, Cora Amelia, Dora, Elvie A. Eskew, Grace A. Parten and Jeanie.
