James Allen 
James was born on April 30th, 1808. James' father was Joseph Allen and his mother is Agnes Patterson. His maternal grandfather is John Patterson and his maternal grandmother was Rebecca. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Joseph J., William, John, Elizabeth, Nancy, Polly, Rhoda, Sarah and Harriett. He died at the age of 72 on December 3rd, 1880 in Hart Co., GA, USA Cross Roads Bapt. Church.General Notes
James represented Hart Co. in the State Legislature from 1868-1870. He first married Mary A. Haynes on 1-7-1837 . He next married Margaret Estes on 8-1-1858. Mary A. Allen consort of James Allen is buried at Old Hendry's Church in Goldmine Community. Nine children were born to the union of James and Mary A. 1-Sarah L.E. Allen b.1838 2-M.E. Allen a daughter born 1839 3- Thomas J. Allen b. 1841--Served in war Between the States and never married 4- Martha C. Allen b.1843 Married G.W. Cleveland 5- James Monroe Allen b. July 9, 1846 m. Mary E. Sanders 6- Nancy Caroline Allen b.1848 m. Robert N. Brown 7- Henry C. Allen b. 1850 never married 8- William E. Allen b. 1852 9- Eliza Frances Allen b. June 4,1855 d.Jan. 21,1923 m.1-14-1875 Nathan Sanders b.7-4-1853 d. 2-15-1892. To James and Margaret Estes were born 10- Francis Marion Allen and 11- Rebuen Allen. James married third on Feb. 22,1863, Elizabeth Jane Estes daughter of Moses Estes. No children from this union.
James and Mary A. were married in a religious ceremony on January 7th, 1837. They had four sons and five daughters, named Thomas J., James Monroe, Henry C., William E., Sarah L.E., M. E., Martha C., Nancy Caroline and Eliza Frances.

Eliza Frances Allen
Eliza Frances was born on June 4th, 1855. She died at the age of 67 on January 12th, 1923 in Hart Co., GA, USA Cross Roads Bapt. Church.
They had two sons named Reuben E. and Francis Marion.
