Joseph Allen lived in Elbert C. Ga. and served in the American Revolution. Record of his military service has been accepted by the Daughters of the American Revolution.
They had four sons and six daughters, named James, Joseph J., William, John, Elizabeth, Nancy, Polly, Rhoda, Sarah and Harriett.

James was born on April 30th, 1808. He died at the age of 72 on December 3rd, 1880 in Hart Co., GA, USA Cross Roads Bapt. Church.
