Ellen Amy Marie was born on March 2nd, 1866. Ellen Amy Marie's father was Rebuen Johnson Morris and her mother was Amialie Levinia Wells. Her paternal grandparents were Reuben J. Morris Sr. and Frances B. Taylor; her maternal grandparents were William Francis Wells Jr. and Amy A. Roe. She had a brother and six sisters, named William Lon, Bertie, Dora, Lula, Meric, Minnie and Tincy. She died due to Prob. Pemphigus at the age of 71 on June 11th, 1937 in Hart Co., GA, USA.General Notes
Husband Francis Marion Allen said to have provided home next door for a
lady known to his children and grandchildren as Vicey. Mrs. Allen was for
years in a declining state of health brought on by multiple pregnancies.
Vicey was said to assist Mrs. Allen with the children and also To aid and
comfort Gramps. Mr. Allen died at Home on 7-4-1950 of a stroke. The year
of his death he walked from our home in crossroads to Anderson S,C. in
one day and spent the night with one of his children then left the next
A.M. and walked on to Greenville S.C. he remained there overnight and
then reversed the trip over the next two days . The total walked miles
exceeded 120 mi.
At the present little is known about the parents of FMA. Further
research is in progress in Elbert Co.
