Edmund Cartledge 
Edmund's father is Edmund Cartledge Jr.. His paternal grandparents were Edmund Cartledge Sr. and Mary Need. He was an only child. Edmund is no longer alive.General Notes
Edmund 111 was granted 1240 acres of land in N.C. in 1739 and moved his family there from Maryland . He married again after his first wife died , This marriage was in 1743. He joined the Episcopal church at that time. He moved to Ga. in 1762 and settled on Kiokee creek near Augusta. He and his five sons served in the Revolution.
They had a son named Joseph.
