Edmund Cartledge Sr. 
Edmund was born in 1639 in Darbyshire, England. He died at the age of 64 in 1703 in Darby Penn..General Notes
Edmund Cartledge Sr. came with William Penn to America in 1683 on the ship WELCOME His wife was Mary Notts and they owned a lot in Philadelphia and settled on two hundred acres in Darby Penn. He was an Indian trader and was appointed canstable in 1685 and a supervisor in 1692. His tombstone is a part of the wall at Friends Graveyard at Darby Penn. His widow married Peter Trey in 1709.
