Roland Arvil's father is Andrew Jackson Murray and his mother was Lou Ella Brown. He has four brothers and a sister, named Andrew Jefferson, Barnes Hardy, Curtis Brown, Henry Marcus and Ruby Willa. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George Floyd, John Marshall, Louisa Rebecca, Rosetta Evangiline and Mary Elizabeth.
