Ruby Willa's father is Andrew Jackson Murray and her mother was Lou Ella Brown. She has five brothers named Andrew Jefferson, Barnes Hardy, Curtis Brown, Henry Marcus and Roland Arvil. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named George Floyd, John Marshall, Louisa Rebecca, Rosetta Evangiline and Mary Elizabeth.
