John was born about 1720 in Orange Co, VA, USA Formerly Spotsylvania Co, VA. John's father was John Rucker and his mother was Susannah. His paternal grandparents were Peter Rucker and Elizabeth Fielding; his maternal grandparents were William Phillips and Susaanah Lloyd. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Peter, Reubin, Benjamin, Ambrose, Isaac, Anthony, Margaret, Sarah, Phoebe, Mildred and Winifred. He was the third oldest of the twelve children. He died on November 6th, 1780 in Amherst Co., VA, USA.-
