Martha was born about 1744 in Orange Co, VA, USA Formerly Spotsylvania Co, VA. Martha's father was Thomas Rucker and her mother was Tinsley. Her paternal grandparents were Peter Rucker and Elizabeth Fielding. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named Thomas, Cornelius, Peter, John, William, Maudlin, George, Isaac, Estha, Mary, Elizabeth and Frankey. She was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children.-
