Absolom Rucker 
Absolom was born on August 19th, 1781 in Amherst Or Orange Co., VA, USA. Absolom's father was Anthony Rucker and his mother was Rebecca Buxgess. His paternal grandparents were John Rucker and Susannah. He was an only child. He died at the age of 86 on December 12th, 1867.General Notes
Absolem Rucker lived 2 miles south of Sweet Briar College in Amherst
County, VA . Absolem's uncle, Colonel Ambrose Rucker built the first
Episcopal Church in Amherst County located near Sweet Briar College. It
was known as Ruckers and was built of logs. Later called St. Mathews.
