Gordon G. was born on February 7th, 1874. Gordon G.'s father was Robert Hamlet Ridgway Sr. and his mother was Claricy Elizabeth Tyner. His paternal grandparents were Lemuel Thomas Ridgway and Elizabeth Hamblette; his maternal grandparents were John Harris Tyner and Susan A. Dickerson. He had four brothers and three sisters, named George Thomas, Lemuel Harrison, Robert Hamlet, Paul J., Susie L., Fannie M. and Bessie M.. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 93 on January 1st, 1968 in Royston, GA, USA. He was buried in Royston, GA, USA Rose Hill Cemetery.-
