Billy was born on December 5th, 1936 in Hart Co., GA, USA. Billy's father was Joe Rucker Ford and his mother is Virginia Doris Dudley. His paternal grandparents were Joel Grover Ford and Lois Rucker; his maternal grandparents were Johnny Luther Dudley and Cora Amelia Allen. He had a brother named Living. My father is a private almost reclusive man. He is very sensitive. I remember when I told him that I was going to ask Nicole to marry me, he cried. There must be a genetic link to this as his father was the same, and I am too. He loves to read and learn. Just last year he studied for and became board certified in pain managment. When the family gets together he is the first to leave and head off for his room. As he gets older he seems to enjoy his family more. He will stay and with us longer. He is always working and provides well for his family.
As a rural family doctor and surgeon he has a very large practice. He has patients that drive from as far away as North Carolina to see him. He is up every day at 5:30-6:00 to head off to the hospital. For most of his career he kept as many patients in Cobb Memorial Hospital as all of the other doctors combined.
