In 1851, Benjamin and Catherine were 55, born Northop and living at Golftyn (by Connah's Quay), Northop, Flintshire.  Jonathan, Catherine, Edward and Elizabeth (19, 17, 15 and 11) were still at home.

In May-June 1860, Benjamin (pilot) and Catherine Bennett (both 59) and their daughter Elizabeth (20) sailed on the William Tapscott (Packet Ship) from Liverpool to NY.  The journey for the three cost £18. 0s 3d.  The US 1860 Census recorded the three at Douglas, Nebraska Territory.

A news report has them arriving in Utah 5 Oct 1860.

Benjamin was active in Church work.  He died at Holden, Utah, 20 Feb 1880.

1831 - 1866 Jonathan Bennett 35 35 On 23 Jun 1851, Jonathan married Jane Jones, daughter of John Jones, at Holy Trinity, Chester, Cheshire. 1833 - 1902 Catherine Bennett 69 69 On 19 Nov 1857, Catherine (22) married Thomas Hewitt (21), son of George and Elizabeth Hewett, at St. Mary's-on-the-Hill, Chester, Cheshire, England.

In 1871, Thomas (a pilot) and Catherine Hewitt (34 & 37) were living at Wepre, Flintshire with a nephew Henry Hughes (4) and no children of their own.

In 1881, Thomas (a pilot) and Catherine Hewitt (44 & 46) were living at Golftyn, Flintshire, still with nephew Henry Hughes (14) and nephew Stephen Bennett (3).

1836 - 1892 Edward Bennett 56 56 On 3 Sep 1857, Edward Bennett (23) married Mary Ann Coppack (21), daughter of Charles Coppack, at St. Mary's-on-the-Hill, Chester, Cheshire, England

In 1877, Edwards first wife Mary Ann died as three years later, Edward married Margaret Jones.

In 1881 (after his first wife died) Edward Bennett (Master Marriner, 45) was at Golftyn, married to Margaret (28) with William Charles (16), Catherine (11), Joseph (14) and Thomas (8).

In 1890, Edward must have known his time was limited.  On 13th March he paid 10s for a burial plot at Connah's Quay.  He died in 1892, aged 56.  He was accidently drowned at Mostyn Deeps, on the Dee eastury, near Holywell (see attached news clip).

In 1920, Elizabeth (aged 80) was still alive at Holden, Millard, Utah. She died the following year.
1827 - 1873 Benjamin Bennett 46 46 On 15 Aug 1850, Benjamin Bennett married Elizabeth Bowen at Chester Holy Trinity.  They had 5 children.  Do not confuse with their neighbours (also Bennett and cousins)

In 1851 Benjamin and Elizabeth (24 & 19) were at Golftyn with no chioldren.

1730 - 1809 John Millington 79 79 John is reputed to be the son of Edward Millington and Elizabeth Griffith.  John and Susannah brought up their family at Hawarden. 

26 Dec 1750, John Millington of Pentrobin married Susanah  Bannion of Banel at Hawarden, Flintshire (see attached)

Ann, Sus and Elizabeth were baptised at Pentrobin (at the top of Ewole Hill), and DNA suggests they are the same family.  Rachel was born at Mancot

FamilySearch.or also has John (1779-1844) and Margaret (1786-) born Ewole, but this cant be the same family as there is already a John born in 1766.
1725 - 1809 Susannah Bannion 84 84 1765 - 1845 Elizabeth Millington 80 80 29 Aug 1785, Elizabeth Millington married Benjamin Bennett, a fisherman, at Hawarden, Flintshire.  Another Elizabeth Millington married William Kirkman, a farmer, there 5 years earler.

In 1841, Elizabeth Bennett was 75 and independant, living at Golftyn

Elizabeth probably died at home, Golftyn, and the death was recorded at Holywell in July 1845, aged 84.  "Elizabeth, widow of Benjamin Bennett (Fisherman)" of Wepre Township was buried July 15th 1845, aged 83.
1766 - 1830 Benjamin Bennett 64 64 Benjamin Bennett was born 1766 at Aston, near Wepre, Connah's Quay and Queensferry, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Pierce.  His family details are recorded in the Millenium file.

In 1785, marriage banns were read at Hawarden on 31 July and 7 and 14 August.  Benjamin married Elizabeth Millington on the 29th August.  He was a bachelor and fisherman.
1766 - 1808 John Millington 41 41 WARNING: Another John Millington and Mary Connah married in 1775.  Some of the births at Hawarden after 1785 may be theirs. 1770 - 1771 Mary Millington 1 1 1763 - <1863 Edward Millington 100 100 About 1782, Edward must have married Ann Davies, as the baptisms of all the early children show the mother as Ann, and Susannah and Catherine show mother as Ann Davies.

Did Edward re-marry? There is a death of Sarah (1738-1792), wife of Edward Millington, labourer, at Manchester.

In 1841, Benjamin and Mary (25 & 20) were at Golftyn, Flintshire with son John (3).  Benjamin was a fisherman.

In 1851, Benjamin (37) was a fisherman with wife Mary (30), Samuel (8), Mary Elizabeth (7), Humphery (3) and Priscilla (4 mo). They were living at Golftyn, Flintshire.

In 1861, Benjamin (65) and Mary (60) were at Conna's Quay.  Their youngest, Martha (21) was with them.
1820 - 1902 Mary Hewitt 82 82 Mary's mother was Priscilla Hewitt.

In 1851, Mary'd son John was with his grandmother Priscilla.
1853 - 1921 Benjamin (Banner) Bennett 67 67 In 1871, Benjamin (18) wasn't with his parents who only had Joseph (13) and Martha (10) with them.  Perhaps he was at sea.

In 1891, Benjamin and Emma (38 & 34) are at Connah's Quay with Elizabeth (13), Gertrude (10), Thomas (8), Hannah M (5), Benjamin (4) and John (1).

In 1901, Benjamin (47) was a River Dee Pilot. He was living at 3 Railway Terrace, Connah's Quay with wife Emma (44), Gertrude (21), Thomas (19), Hannah Marie (16), Benjamin (14), John (12) and Eleanor (9).

In 1911, Benjamin and Emma (55 & 52) were at 7 Railway Terrace, Connah's Quay with Benjamin (23), John (21) and Samuel (9)

John was a Catholic, and in 1858 converted to (Baptist) Mormon Church.

In 1851, Edward (42) and Elizabeth (37) were at Golftyn, Northop with Edward (16), John (14), Elizabeth (11), Humphrey (9) and Mary Ann (2)

In 1861, sons Benjamin (10) and Thomas (7) were with their mother Elizabeth Bennet (48, Mar, Marriner's wife) at Golftyn. Edward wasn't there!

In 1843, John married Jane Roberts, the daughter of Edward Roberts. He was a fisherman (and also his father Benjamin) when he married.  John and Jane were living at Crook Street (in Chester).

In 1851, John and Jane (28 & 26) were at Wepre, Flintshire with Elizabeth (6), Benjamin (5), Edward (3) and Catherine (1).

In 1861, John & Jane (38 & 37) were at Primrose Hill, Wepre, Flintshire. They had Elizabeth (16), Benjamin (15), Edward (13), Catherine (11), Samuel (7), MA (5) and Jane (3)

Their son Benjamin has a son Capt. John Bennett, one of the pioneer settlers of Utah.

Edward died in 1793, a mariner aged 31.  He was of the city of Chester (probably a river pilot on the River Dee) and was buried at St John's the Baptist, Chester.  There was a Will.

In 1869, Thomas got Eliza Farrell (aged 19) pregnant and quickly had to marry her.  They married in Q2 1870 a Thomas was born the same summer.

In 1871, Thomas and Eliza (23  & 20) were at Wolverhampton, Staffordshire with their son Thomas (11 months).

In 1872, Alice Maria Millington was born and Thomas died a year after in 1873, aged 57.

In 1876, although no evidance of a child being born, Eliza died aged only 26.
