Elizabeth's father was William Millington and her mother was Jane Williams.  Her paternal grandparents were John Millington and Ann Shaw. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Charles, John, Joseph, Robert, William, George, Rose, Thomas and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 64 in March 1896 in Chester.³
