William Millington

William was born in 1806 in Pentrobin and his baptism took place on April 4th, 1806 in Hawarden.¹²

  This is NOT the William Millington son of William and Sarah from Great Budworth. That William was still in Great Budworth in 1841, married to Hannah.
  
  William may have been baptised when a young adult, won of William and Mary. He was a neighbour at Dirty Mile in 1841 and 1851. However, the baptish shows he is no closley related (and also the other William is 20y older)

William's father was John Millington and his mother was Ann Shaw. His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Mary Connah. He had six brothers and a sister, named John, Edward, Charles, George, Peter, James and Mary. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named Thomas. He died at the age of 46 in April 1852 in Pentrobin. His burial was on April 23rd, 1852 in Hawarden.³⁴

- William cannot be the son of William and Jane, as they had a son William in 1826.
  
  Banns were read on the 25 July, 1 & 8 Aug. Then in August, William Millington married Jane Williams. Both were of the township of Pentrobin.
  
  In 1841, William and Jane (35 and 30) are at Dirty Mile Rd with Charles (10), Elizabeth (8), Rosannah (6), John (4) and Thomas (2).
  
  In 1851, William (44) is a Pauper, formerly a blacksmith. He has with him his wife Jane (42) and 9 children. They are a Little Mountain, next to Dirty Mile Road. His neighbours (but no parents) were William and Mary Millington (68 & 66), also paupers. (They has a son Willaim born 1826).
  
  By 1861, wife Jane was head of house at Dirty Mile, and a Coal Miner's Widow, with three sons John, Joseph and Robert
