Charles' father was John Millington and his mother was Mary Connah.  His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Margaret Youd. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, William, Edward, George, Rachel, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 16 in December 1816 in Ewloe.  He was buried on December 23rd, 1816 in Hawarden.¹
