Edward's father was John Millington and his mother was Mary Connah.  His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Margaret Youd. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Thomas, William, George, Charles, Rachel, Margaret, Mary and Elizabeth.  He was the third youngest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 24 in September 1816 in Ewloe.  He was buried on September 25th, 1816 in Hawarden.¹
