Rachel's father was Robert Lewis and her mother was Rachel Millington.  Her maternal grandparents were John Millington and Mary Connah. She had five brothers and four sisters, named John, John, Thomas, Edward, Charles, Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Mary and Rachel.  She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 1 in January 1810 in Ewloe.  She was buried on January 14th, 1810 in Hawarden.¹
