George was born on July 18th, 1823 in Bistre and his baptism took place on August 15th, 1823 in Hawarden.1 2  George's father was William Millington and his mother was Mary Hewitt.  His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Mary Connah. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, John, William, Charles, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth and Jane.  He died at the age of 53 in March 1877 in Hawarden.3
