William was born on July 25th, 1826 in Mold and his baptism took place on August 20th, 1826 in Hawarden.1 2  William's father was William Millington and his mother was Mary Hewitt.  His paternal grandparents were John Millington and Mary Connah. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, John, George, Charles, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth and Jane.  He died at the age of 60 on January 17th, 1887 in Little Neston.

‌William and Maria were married in a religious ceremony on March 10th, 1848 in Hawarden.3   They had a son named George.  The family line is yet to be completed.
