General Notes
In 1871, John, a Collier and Publican and Emma Millington (53 & 52) were living at Argoed (near Mold), Flintshire with Hannah (19), Emma (15), Maria (14), James (11) and Mary Ann (9). The mothers of the children were Davies (for Hannah and Maria), Dunn and Jones (for James and MAry Ann), so most likely not all their children, but grandghildren or nephews and nieces.

John and Emma were married in a religious ceremony on June 2nd, 1838 in Hawarden.3 They had a biological daughter named Emma. They also had an adopted son and three adopted daughters, named James, Maria, Mary and Hannah. There are possibly more children.
