Ann was born in May 1791 in Pentrobin and her baptism took place on May 29th, 1791 in Hawarden. Ann's father was George Millington and her mother was Catherine Thornton.  Her paternal grandparents were William Millington and Elizabeth (Mary) Hewitt. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Wiliam, John, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth and Jane.  She was the fifth oldest of the seven known children.
