Wiliam was born in 1783 in Hawarden and his baptism took place there on February 9th, 1783.1  Wiliam's father was George Millington and his mother was Catherine Thornton.  His paternal grandparents were William Millington and Elizabeth (Mary) Hewitt. He had a brother and five sisters, named John, Mary, Hannah, Elizabeth, Ann and Jane.  He was the second oldest of the seven known children.
