There is only one Mary Blackburn Christening in Almondbury within 5 years of George.  Mary was from Newsome (Berry Brow), and daughter of Michael, a Yeoman.
1715 - 1792 Michael Blackburn 77 77 Michael Blackburn and John Docker were the Church Wardens of Almondbury in 1751.

Michael Blackburn of Newsome Widower and Hannah Woodhead Widow both of this parish were married 13 May 1761.  Micaael was a Clothier (sometimes refered to as a Yeoman)

There is another Michael Blackburn from Overthong, who is a shoemaker, who married Mary Frith 6-Apr-1749.

Joseph recorded his abode as Hall Ing or sometimes Astley Bridge.  This is probably the same place, where Hall Ing Lane is now, near Honley.

He was a clothier, but recorded as an Inn Keeper on his burial reord.

In 1851, Georgr and Martha (45 & 41) were at Park Gate with Maryann (21), Joseph (17), Michael (13), Hannah (11), Jonathan (9), John (6), Elizabeth (3) and Lydia (1).

In June 1854, George and Martha were still at Park Gate when Lydia was buried.

George Blackburn Sykes of Towngate, Newsome died 8 Dec 1905 (Probate Llandudno), leaving £125 to Tom Goddard retired farmer.

Before 1855, Allen Sykes lived at Berry Brow (where Ben was born).  By 1859 he was living at Betley, Dewsbury (where Mary, Annie, Allen and Martha wee born).

In 1881, Allen (59) was a cow keeper (of 6 cows) at Batley.  His wife Mary A (51) and Annie (20), Allen (18), Alfred (9) and George B (7) were with him at Queen Street, Batley,

In 1881, Allen died Hill Top Bank, aged 61 (TBC)

In 1901, Mary Ann Sykes (71) was a widow and still a cow keeper with her daughter Annie Wilkinson and family.

In 1881, Annie (20) was recorded as unmarried and with parents Allen, a cow keeper, & Mary A and her three younger brothrs at Batley.

3 Dec 1888, Annie Sykes (28), daughter of Allen, a Tuner married Joseph Wilikinson (21), both of Batley.

In 1901 Annie and Joseph Wilkinson (40 & 34) were with Lydia (17), Gertrude (11) and Arthur (7) and Annie's mother Mary Ann Sykes (71, Head, Cow Keeper).

Annie was born 30 Sep 1860 and baptised in 1861.  On the April 1861 census, Annie was 6 months, living in Kirkheaton with parents Allen and Elizabeth (23 & 21).
