Robert's father was Benjamin Elmer Bennett and his mother was Elna Randall. His paternal grandparents were William Thomas Bennett and Elizabeth Jane Silby. He had two brothers and a sister, named John, Mont and Norma. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 30 on August 29th, 1952 in Idaho (ID).
