Hattie was born on May 24th, 1892. Hattie's father was Edward Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Wood. Her paternal grandparents were Cap John Bennett and Jane Roberts. She had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Edward, Benjamin, Mark, Jonathan, Elizabeth, Jane, Jane, Gladys and Emma. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 53 on September 12th, 1945.
