Glen's father was Joseph Alvin Lyman and his mother was Lavinia Hunter. His maternal grandparents were John Davidson Hunter and Elizabeth Bennett. He had a brother named Joseph. He was the older of the two known children. He died at the age of 90 on January 17th, 2000.
