Iris was born in 1933. Iris' father was Glen Hunter Lyman and her mother was Lillian M Mellor. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Alvin Lyman and Lavinia Hunter. She had two brothers and a sister, named Rodney, Murrel and Murrell. She was the second oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 89 in 2022.
