Ned was born on April 5th, 1915 in Millard. Ned's father was John Charles Bennett and his mother was Susan Ashby. His paternal grandparents were Edward Bennett and Elizabeth Jane Wood. He had a brother and three sisters, named Jess, Barta, LaPreal and Lena. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 70 on February 18th, 1986 in Millard.
