Jane's father was Anthony (Anthon) Stephenson and her mother was Mary Ann Bennett. Her maternal grandparents were Cap John Bennett and Jane Roberts. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Anthony, Ormus, Joseph, Catherine, Eva and Clara. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 86 on October 11th, 1963.
