Mary's father was Cap John Bennett and her mother was Jane Roberts. Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin Bennett and Catherine Jones; her maternal grandparents were Edward Roberts and Elizabeth Jones. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Benjamin, Edward, Samuel, John, Jonathan, William, Elizabeth, Catherine, Jane and Emmaline. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died due to natural causes or old age, Probably senility, at the age of 88 on September 5th, 1943 in Millard. Her burial was on September 8th, 1943 in Millard.²²
