Thomas was born in 1845 in Wepre.1  Thomas' father was Edward Roberts and his mother was Ann Peers.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Roberts and Elizabeth Jones. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Edward, John, Elizabeth and Mary.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 60 on September 16th, 1905 in Connah's Quay.2
