Mary's father was William Thomas Bennett and her mother was Elizabeth Jane Silby. Her paternal grandparents were Cap John Bennett and Jane Roberts. She had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Jonathan, Benjamin, Clifton, Carl, William, Jettie, Ellis, Emma and Thora. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 78 on November 13th, 1966 in Millard.¹
